What a great, exciting and unusual high school Aldine was for me.  As a city slicker coming from east houston and then moving to Oak Forest area and discovering that the school was approximately a 20 mile trek by school bus driven by Mr. Campbell, with many, many stops!  After arriving, the shocker of the day was seeing young students riding their horses to school and hitching the horses to posts that seemed to be there just for that purpose....I wanted to immediately buy a pair of boots right after school!!  Ha Ha.  By the way, Mr. Campbell was a great bus driver.

My first jobs after graduating were secretarial jobs.  I went to Massey Business School to increase my typing abilities and shorthand.  I worked mostly in the insurance business.

I met my husband on a blind date.  He was so handsome and sweet.  But the Army  slowed our relationship about 3 years.  We later married in 1962.

My husband, Ray, joined the Houston Police Department and served as a cop for 27 years.

We have a daughter and son.  Our daughter is an elementary teacher for Cyfair and our son works for American General as a financial advisor and plays the drums locally in the 1960 area.  We have one granddaughter, Riley.

I am retired from the Social Security Administration as a court reporter.

We have traveled to Europe many times and tried to hit most of the states in our RV.

We now reside in Westador subdivision in the 1960/Spring area.

Thanks to all that have created the web site for all of us Aldine Grads...

Love to All,
