Our 50th Reunion Organizers

After the reunion in 2003, Kathleen Dunn Walser was elected to the Aldine Alumni Scholarship Association Board of Directors representing the Class of 1958.  This was courtesy of Gloria Gist Cain's recommendation.  The Board of Directors vote on any and all actions taken by the Aldine Alumni Scholarship Association.  In April 2006, Kathleen was elected to the Executive Board as Secretary.  Gloria was then voted into Kathleen's position as 1958 Class Representative.

As Secretary, Kathleen is responsible for taking/reading minutes, sending/calling reminders to the board members and attendees of future meetings, maintaining records of the non-profit organization, etc.  Kathleen and Gloria attend seven meetings per year.

For the 2007 Reunion, Gloria hosted the hospitality suite and was responsible for the welcoming committee.

Next year, Gloria will be responsible for organizing the 50th reunion for our class along with a committee from our class.  We have Beverly McClendon Youdal and Gracie DeCarlo Cooper working with us via phone and email.  Gloria is working to recruit  additional members to help.

1.  Help is needed from those able to attend four meetings from February thru April making decisions on the many details of the reunion.
2.  We also need any memorabilia and those willing to be there the day of reunion to set up memorabilia.
3.  We will also be needing donations for the silent and live auction.
4.  We need an auctioneer.
5.  Do we have any artists from our class willing to donate a piece of artwork for the auction?
6.  Does anyone have a 1958 automobile to have there for pictures?  (the car is still yours after the reunion!)
7.  We also need help with the table settings, selecting the menu, and working with the hotel on details relating to reunion.

Kathleen has volunteered to do our name tags with pictures and possibly for the rest of attendees.

If you will help, please click HERE for contact information.

The hard work of Kathleen, Gloria, Beverly, and Gracie and all those who volunteer to help is very much appreciated by the 1958 class.
